Latest Build: 72 Context Menus Fleshed Out

Download: MacCaching Build 72.

Please remember to visit the Latest Builds Blog to make sure this is the “latest” build.

A bunch of random bug fixes, small enhancements, and a slightly new look (screenshot below). MacCaching is now running with GPSBabel 1.3.3.

The context menus now work. When exporting to vCard or GPX the “desc” tag is no longer lost. Please let me know if you run into problems. I’m working towards releasing this as version 0.6. Also I removed the sudo LCD screen. It didn’t really work how I wanted it to and it took up space on small screens.

Program gives a warning on lauch then tells me it has to quit. I’m reverting to built 68 which gave me no problem.

The message reads “An exception of class NilObjectException was nothandled. The application must quit.”

I’m using GPSBabel+ 1.3.3 and it too has the NilObjectException (I don’t use MacCaching at all).

GPSBabel+ and MacCaching are both based on RealBASIC which as pretty bad error handling. However, I do process GPX files differently than GPSBabel+, which is just a front end for gpsbabel. MacCaching only uses gpsbabel for GPS communication.
